IT Skills Programme- Introduction to Social Media

Used effectively social media can help you to raise the profile of your organisation by engaging new people to your service, promote your service and events and network with other organisations. Social media also enables you to interact with others and evaluate your services.

This workshop is for people who want to make the most of their existing Facebook and Twitter accounts. It will also include an introduction to SurveyMonkey and Eventbrite.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

Identify which methods of social media are most relevant to your organisation

Increase your presence on Facebook and Twitter

Understand the benefits of SurveyMonkey in gathering feedback to evaluate your service

Be able use Eventbrite to promote and manage events
