Personalisation - following the last Cabinet's decision, Ealing Social Service have now given the go-ahead and due to “go live” by now. As you may be aware Personalisation is about putting the individual person in need at the centre of the assessment and support planning process. It is about giving them more choice and control over their lives whilst maintaining our responsibilities to safeguard their best interests.

Ealing have already moved a long way down that road, to date the following:

  • Over 1000 people in receipt of direct payments/individual budgets
  • Set up new Access to Resources and Contract and Business Management teams
  • Enhanced the support we offer in the Contact Centre leading to improved outcomes
  • Trained over 200 staff in Assessment, Support Planning and Eligibility Criteria (including in the voluntary sector)
  • Enhanced our reablement service

You can download the full "Go Live" letter from Ealing Social Services by clicking on GO LIVE

A new web page on Ealing Council website has details about Pesonalisation. There is a Customer Guide to Personalisation with information about the services available for adult social care customers in Ealing.

Also there is a draft version of the Information & Resource Directory available.
