Welcome to the Childrens' Workforce Development Section of ECVS!

Nearly 15,000 people in the Borough of Ealing work/volunteer with children and young people in the Private and Third sector (PaTS). To help support and develop this workforce Ealing CVS, supported by the Children's Workforce Development Council, is running a 3 year Workforce Development project.

The aim of this project is to ensure that this workforce complies with the Every Child Matters Agenda. This is the national Government's initiative across all children and young people's services (0-19 years old) which aims to join up planning and delivery of all services and focus on the key outcomes for children, young people and their families. There are 5 key outcomes:

1. Be Healthy
2. Stay Safe
3. Enjoy and achieve
4. Make a positive contribution
5. Achieve economic well-being.

Halima Abouannaoual, the Development Worker on this project will be working with the Ealing Safeguarding Childrens Board (ESCB) to try and implement the agenda and to ensure all groups have access to the latest information and training.

ECVS aims to support the sector through promoting information sharing, communication and participation within the PaTS. We do this by producing monthly newsletters which keep groups up to date with the latest news, events, funding information and training opportunities. We also facilitate the Ealing CYP Forum for groups working with children and young people.
