Business Volunteering

Employers can add value, gain in reputation and good links with local people through volunteering

VOLUNTEERING FOR BUSINESSES - Ealing Volunteer Centre offers a  brokerage service for businesses in the borough of Ealing. We enable business to engage meaningfully with the communities in which they work, through one-day team challenges, and we also help businesses to forge longer-term partnerships with community organisations. Volunteering for Busy People in Ealing is our guide to employee volunteering. If you would like a copy posted to you email Lizzie Saunders.

Team Challenges

One of the most popular ways for businesses to engage with the local community, especially if they are new to employee volunteering programmes, is by taking part in a one-off one-day team challenge. Typically a team of about 10 employees will help a community organisation with a practical task, such as decorating a community hall or a creating a garden, Groundforce-style. There are many other ways of making a difference in a day, such as sharing IT or other professional skills. Through team challenges, employees have a fun-filled day out and make a tangible difference to the local community.

Our Brokerage Service

Ealing Volunteer Centre offers a brokerage service for running successful team challenges - we have links with more than 800 community groups in the borough of Ealing, to help us broker a perfect match for your business needs.

Our brokerage service for team challenges involves: identifying business aims; identifying a community project to match these aims; facilitating and managing the pre-challenge preparation, offering support, information and guidance to ensure a successful day for everyone involved; challenge day support; and post-challenge evaluation. The fee for this service is £250 - excellent value at £25 a head.  We require a refundable deposit of £1,000 to guard against cancellation and as insurance against damage.
