Funded by Capacity Builders, this project will support the development of the LGBT sector in the area through increased joint working activities. The Project seeks to address gaps in information, groups, training, policy development and service provision for LGBT residents by bringing together statutory services such as Local Authorities, Police, Housing and Health, with Voluntary Organisations, LGBT Groups and LGBT Residents.
The project will:
o Support the development of grassroots LGBT groups
o Lobby for improved services for LGBT residents
o Provide training on LGBT issues for public and voluntary organisations
o Coordinate the West London LGBT Forum and an annual West London LGBT Conference
Activities over the next few months will include:
· Addressing Hate Crime on Estates and Homophobic Bullying in Education Centres
· Develop tool kits on Hate Crime, Homophobic Bullying and Equalities issues
· Report on the LGBT Residents Survey and Mainstream Policy Survey
· Work with LGBT groups to build their capacity

Establish LGBT
Forums in boroughs that do not have them and local people want them
· Deliver training to Statutory and Voluntary organisations on LGBT and Equality issues
· Recruit volunteers to deliver Community Radio Shows

term funding for the LGBT Project
